Known behind the scenes of Black and queer cultural staples, Adah-Duval Pittman-Delancey learned the power of influence while working under the reigns of creatives and social impact entrepreneurs. Adah-Duval's get shit done demeanor, paired with her multicultural market knowledge, quickly propelled her early career from entertainment to brand management and took her from Atlanta to Washington, D.C. While in D.C., her devotion to equity and inclusion drove her path towards public education and advocacy.
Adah-Duval’s integrated marketing and communications skills and “never met a stranger” personality is the through-line in her career. She’s managed album releases, tour campaigns, sponsored events, and festival operations. She’s rallied multi-state coalitions and synchronized messaging across them all. Post the affirmative Supreme Court marriage equality ruling, which cites stories sourced during her work life in advocacy in D.C., Adah-Duval returned to the South to continue advocating for children and families and a more equitable Atlanta.
The lines between what she’s done and what she does can often blur, but she cites words shared by Nina Turner, an organizer and activist from Ohio, “Titles are good, but purpose is better.” You can typically find Adah-Duval in a deep one-to-one conversation or anywhere preoccupied with language to expand hearts and minds and elevate the culture-Black, southern, and queer culture. She’s out here living her best purpose-filled life, defining and redefining herself for herself - as a dreamer and a doer. A human being humane. A proponent of loving correction and all about good trouble.
